Thoughts on 25 Sept 2007......

It has been few weeks that I last jotted something down. Was rather busy @ work, always feel very sleepy, concuss before 11pm almost every day!!! Guess that the only thing that can keep me awake will be my Favourite, MJ aka (干泳)!!! Of course, I would need to catch some nap first before my Game. For those who dun know, we always have our “weekly” dose of MJ on every Friday Late Nite, usually start around 0000hr. But our sessions has recently cut down as we always lack one leg aka “三缺一 “. Actually I am happi to have the sessions once a while. To me, it is more of a MJ session as we usually chat a lot, update each other while playing. It is enjoyable to be with such good friends occasionally. Oso, it is proven in Hong Kong that MJ will keep people from becoming senile when they are older. Hee! I am to be SENILE-FREE till I pass on.

Last weekend, Aliying and myself went to Grand Copthorne Waterfront for our Complimentary Pre-Anniversary Nite Stay. We were given Room 2517 at Level 25. Really enjoyed the stay very much as the view was great and the room was of Executive Standard, just a bit smaller than our Wedding Suite. We were both extremely pleased with the Buffet Breakfast which we missed last year. This time, we really ate till our stomach near to “burst”. Hee! 要吃够本! Aliying was nice to bring me to do Manicure + Pedicure @ Grand World City, which was about 5-10 minutes walk from our hotel. After that, we had a nice dinner @ Kenny Rogers. Really loved the steamed veggie, tasted so nice. *YUM * YUM*

Aliying has left for Shanghai on Monday afternoon and will be back only on Wed morning. Follow-up by 4 sectors – Jakarta on Friday and will be back on Saturday evening. It is my niece, Nicole’s 6th birthday on this Saturday. Of course, we will celebrate for her. I have already ordered a 1.5 kg ice-cream cake from Swensons. It has the pictures of the Princesses – Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Ariel aka Little Mermaid, Cinderella etc. She is into princess theme now.

She used to go after Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Hello Kitty as well as Barney & Friends. I guess that she has already grown up to be a adolescent, no longer the little timid girl who freaked out whenever the neighbours’ puppies barked @ her. Now, she is brave enough to hold her brother, Glendon to walk the corridor without fearing the barking. She will be joining Bukit Panjang Primary School next year as Primary 1 student.

Sooner or later, Glendon boy, Carisse girl & Leia girl will also grow up and go primary school, secondary school & complete tiertary education. By then, i guess we are all quite "old" ......
Will we have generation gap? Nicole is quite close to me. She respects me and will usually listens to me. When she grows up into teenager, will she still be as close to me? I remember i used to ask her,“以后等小姑老了,你会牵我的手过马路吗?还会跟小姑说悄悄话吗?” Her answer is always,“当然的,我一定会的。” 她总是很天真得这么跟我说。I guess that I should believe her words coz people always say that children dun tell lies.

Time will tell......

Mid September now....

Times really passes so quickly. It is already mid September now. It has been a while that I lasted login to pen down my thoughts. Yingwei is not in town currently. He flew to Perth yesterday and will be back tomorrow morning. Actually he was supposed to be flying to Dubai/Istanbul but he swapped flights with another FO to spend more time with mi!! So sweet of him.
Some updates over the two months…..

I have officially worked in International Relations Office for 2 months at least. Work was rather busy last month, especially the preparation of IED & helping some Profs to write papers for their study trips. But I must admit that I learn a lot while writing those papers. China is more advanced than I thought. Think that I should go China to take a look once of these days (*when I can fly*)
Jas has given birth to Baby Zorion (*hope I get the spelling right*) last Saturday, after 17 hrs of labour. Guess what, her water bag burst while she was @ my place on Friday nite to play MJ (as usual, that’s how we spend our Friday nites) Luckily, Karen was around to guide her. Dave was cool (at least from his appearance) enough to drive her back home to prepare herself. Finally, baby boy was out on Saturday 2041hr. He is so cute, looks like his Dad.
There was an earthquake struck out at the sea yesterday nite, around 7.10pm. It was scaled 8.4 on the Richter Scale, located on west of the Sumatran town of Bengkulu. That is about 670km from Singapore. Certain parts of Singapore could actually feel the tremors. I guess I must have felt the tremor too. I reached home around 7.10pm. After I entered my home and closed the heavy wooden door, I could hear my door shaking, liked someone was trying to push my door. Thinking maybe someone was at the door, I opened the door to check. Nobody was there though. After a while, there was the shaking again but it stopped shortly. Little did I expect that I was actually experiencing the tremors of an earthquake, until I watched the news headlines on TV. Happening hor!!
Both Yingwei and myself are looking forward for our upcoming stay @ Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, where we held our banquet last year. This stay is a complimentary anniversary night for both of us. We are going there for as our quarterly vacation though we had already went Osaka, KL & New York during May & June.

Oops, time to knock off….I am logging off…See u next then! Will pen more thoughts on my next note. May U have a happi week ahead!
